Alex is our Deputy Engineering Manager here at the Bakery.
Back at the start of June during the Jubilee, we had one of our busiest weeks ever. It seemed everyone, everywhere, was suddenly eating scones. This meant we had to put on extra shifts and run our ovens 24 hours a day, every day, to cope with demand.
Alex was one of the key people who helped to make sure our ovens, cooling towers and a multitude of other machinery kept running smoothly. This often involved him coming in at very short notice on nights and weekends to fix breakdowns and repair any faults in our production line.
We couldn’t have got through that manic week without his hard work and expertise, which is why he’s the winner of our June employee spotlight. Thank you, Alex!
