Shanghai International Food Show

Last month a small group of our directors and sales team travelled to Shanghai to exhibit a range of our products at the FHC Global Food Show, held at Shanghai’s International Expo Centre.

The Food Show took place over 3 days and had a diverse range of companies from all over the world exhibiting their products. Our stand could be found on the British Pavilion, which we shared with other British companies such as cheesemakers and Whiskey distilleries that were also exhibiting at the show.

We were intrigued to find out which of our products would be of interest to the Chinese public, so we brought both a mixture of our traditional scones and a range of our newer products, such as Halos steamed donuts and mini biscuits and breadsticks from our sister brand, nibnibs. We were very pleased to find out that everyone who visited our stand absolutely loved our products, particularly our Devon and sultana scones, and were very keen to find out where they could purchase them in China!

The trip was a fantastic experience for us all and showed us that there is a clear interest from the Chinese public in our traditional English scones.
